Currently Owari Kan ryū Shunpukan is located in Aichi, Japan and is led by Kato Isao (8th generation headmaster and successor to the school)
Interestingly the school’s students start training by doing shiai (competition) and only after considerable training they learn the schools kata (forms). Most classical schools that practice shiai do so after learning kata.
